Frankfurt, Germany

I had a 5 hour layover in Frankfurt facing me... quite a dreadful prospect! Spending time there the first time around was bad enough so I ventured into the city for a little sightseeing. Unfortunately I was there too early in the morning and everything was closed :(. It was a nice city but the most striking thing was the complete lack of Germans. In fact, there were many many Romanians - so much so that I got away wıth speaking Romanian instead of English! It was no exaggeration when they said that Romania has the highest amount of workers per capita workıng abroad to send funds home.
