Admittedly was a little nervous landing on the 15th anniversary of 9/11, but was a nice trip and had the opportunity to catch up with a lot of old friends, see some urban art, and try some very peculiar grapes native to North America.
Warsaw, Poland (October)
First time visiting, here on a layover between Romania and Armenia. I was pleasantly surprised - beautiful parks, nice food, and great weather. Sadly did not have too much time to do much else.
Vienna, Austria (October)
Was here on a layover returning from Armenia. Last time visiting was in 2009, and I accidentally visited the very same schnitzel restaurant - getting senile.
Zurich, Switzerland (October)
Layover between Vienna and returning home - enjoyed walking around and visiting various clock shops and museums. Nothing special aside from some nice photo opportunities.
Shanghai, China (November)
I went to my first modern science museum in China was impressed at the variety of complex topics presented to children - we had better pay attention to our STEM education! Also, first time visiting the Shanghai Tower - was quite fun looking down on the 'bottle opener' (Shanghai World Financial Center).
